Bio
Skilled Embryo are a 4 piece ‘Post-punk/Indie ’ guitar based outfit.
Formed originally in the late 80’s in Alloa, Central Scotland they played multiple shows across the Central Belt from Glasgow to Edinburgh and amassed a regular following through continued gigging/festivals and recording before disbanding in 1992.
Reforming at the end of 2015 with the original line up Skilled Embryo quickly polished their signature songs, as well as added new, updating the band’s sound before becoming show ready again to a sell-out audience at the ‘The Station Bar – Alloa in April 2016.
This was quickly followed by a couple of outings playing shows at the legendary King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow as recent as January 2018, as well as a further requested return back to Alloa.

EPK Reason
We have now recorded and mastered to release standard 6 tracks for release during 2018 which will incorporate an inclusive EP and the potential to release a further full 11 track album, nearer the end of the year. (Partial recording already completed).
All artwork and branding is in place for the releases and we are now looking to fill our diary with some live show dates to promote our releases, and would be interested to hear back from venues and promoters for booking of any mutually agreeable dates.
We are confident to either headline a night, or to play as part of a multi-band night, where we appreciate the time constraints changing bands over quickly so tailor our live show to fit accordingly.
